The Hills are Alive in Chicago...?

I've been running outside to try to prepare for the Shamrock Shuffle (which I AM running-- I finally found someone to work for me that day!). The weather has been gorgeous for a couple of days here and there, who am I to not embrace it? Real sunlight and warmth do SO MUCH GOOD for my soul. I am very grateful for the good weather-- no matter how sporadic it may be.
Anyways-- you know you're out of shape when you think "man this hill is steep" whilst running in CHICAGO. Yowzer. There are slight slight inclines between my apartment and the lake...inclines that I didn't even notice six months ago. Now they make my snails pace even slower and that irritates me.

The girls I'm coaching won their game today-- big time. This is especially nice since on Thursday they lost-- biggER time. I am pleased that they were successful and hope we can continue on that note as the season continues. I got a little bit of a sun tan, too. What a day!
